Gwyneth Paltrow posted this group photo on Instagram yesterday. As you can see, her children, Apple and Moses, are there. A few other people who look so familiar I just can’t place them right now but if you can, please tell me. Oh yeah, and Chris Martin, at the other end of the table, but that’s him. Definitely him.

Is Brad Falchuk the one taking the picture? Or was his divorce also a conscious uncoupling? Ahem.

It’s still fascinating to me. That now that they’re no longer together, only now is she including him in her social media posts.

Anyway, the food looks delicious and I’ve decided I need more white serving platters in every single shape I can find.

The First Wife is still trying to figure out if she wants to be one. She and her husband have been through a lot the last few years, on both sides. It was before the trouble though when she had an affair with a colleague -- still above the line, but with a smaller spotlight, both compared to First Wife and his own wife who's just as famous too, and should be just as acclaimed. The affair was intense, so intense that First Wife wanted to end her marriage and he was going to end his marriage but then her husband needed her in crisis. So she helped him recover, and as soon as he healed, she fell apart. By the time she got it together, her moment with her lover had passed. He happily reconnected with his own wife (though she has no idea) while First Wife is struggling with what would have been.

As for the Second Wife – everyone’s been speculating about her infidelity recently but they might be focusing on the wrong target. The right target isn’t a billionaire but he’s a pretty successful player too, albeit on a smaller screen. Their involvement led to an award for her, and a divorce for him. She was attracted to him because “he’s the hot geeky type like her husband”. Both insist that they never moved past suggestive texting and heavy flirting and never ended up consummating their attraction. Bullsh-t. There was at least one night and that’s why she’s so freaked out about the takedown that’s been coming to her. She’d be happy if they stayed on the current scene they’re on so long as she doesn’t get busted for this one.

Comeback Kid only dates famous girls. When he and Golden were together, he stepped out on her twice that she knows of: once with a stripper and the other with Pigtails. But even though it’s been years, and she’s well moved on, Golden still has a hard time hearing Pigtails’ music. Her trainer made the mistake of playing it once when they were working out. She demanded that it be turned off immediately and never again while she’s in studio.

While Golden can’t let go of her resentment, Comeback’s wife, the PM, can’t help it either. People assume that it’s his other, more curvier ex, who makes her crazy but homemaker to homemaker, it’s actually Golden who she can’t stand, and has been overheard disparaging, unimpressed with her skills and her ideas, rolling her eyes when her name comes up.

See now they’re only shooting a scene here on the New York set of Thanks For Sharing but, like, I totally buy that Gwyneth Paltrow would be into Mark Ruffalo and vice versa. The way she’s touching her mouth while they’re talking. The way they can’t stop smiling. The way she’s giving him a nice ass shot, “stretching” mid-conversation...

Works for me. Totally, totally works for me. They actually look really, really cute together.

But can you arrive at a point where you might see that these two actors, accomplished ones, when they’re faking a relationship, make it more believable than when those useless Kardashian people do it and front like it’s for real?

Film set. Recently. She’s shooting a sex scene. Walking around set in her bra, no shirt on, panties, standard attire, nothing unusual about it...

Except that her children were there that day. They were visiting. And it was no thing, you know? That was her costume. They saw her in his costume while they were there. And then she sat them behind the monitor so that they could see her work and they watched while mom worked with another actor - she rubbed up against him, he returned the rubbing, she made love for pretend, for the movies, to a man that was not the father of her children, in front of her children.

I’m sure over 90% of you are all huffy and tutty about this and have been since the start of the 2nd paragraph. “It’s so inappropriate, it’s so bizarre, these people are sick f-cks”, etc etc etc. Me I’m still trying to decide. Part of me understands the huffing and the tutting. And the other part, well, it’s worth huffing and tutting over in real life, for civilians, because that’s simply not part of that world.

But take Kate Winslet for example - and this is NOT about Kate Winslet - who’s already been naked on screen several times, and her kids go to school with other kids whose parents have seen their mother’s breasts, and you realise, theirs is a totally different reality. And, given that that is the reality, if you are the subject of this riddle, do you prepare your children for it by bringing them with you, by showing them that this is not real, that this is what happens in filmmaking, that this is part of the process, that this is part of what’s considered their craft or their art, or whatever fancy word they’re using for it these days, that this is not dirty, that there’s nothing shady about it, in the hopes of removing or addressing in advance any stigma/embarrassment that might arise later...

Mommy is an Actor and this is what Acting is...

A part of me doesn’t disagree with that either, you know?

This is Coldplay arriving in Buenos Aires, currently touring through South America. Guy Berryman is so hot. Prior to departing on this trip with the band however Chris Martin was with Gwyneth Paltrow and their children in Nashville where’s she’s been shooting Love Don’t Let Me Down. The couple was also spotted together in New York for a quick weekend away. Maybe she’s exhausted the organic barley supply in Tennessee.

The point?

All is well with the Martins. Another late year rough patch has been hurdled and the perfect life has been preserved. Until, of course, another Kate Bosworth type skanks around again. Or maybe this time he’s been warned to keep his sh-t in line. Also, no lawsuit mounted against Star Magazine yet.

Star Magazine is definitely not the most trustworthy source. Most of it is bullsh-t. But this is a story that cannot be ignored. The new issue of Star Magazine includes an explosive allegation – Chris Martin cheated on Gwyneth Paltrow with Kate Bosworth. Yes. Her again.

Ordinarily, considering it’s Star, the immediate reaction is to dismiss. But here’s why this report might be different. Because several magazines were investigating it a few days ago. I received calls about it on Saturday from other magazines. Chris and Kate were supposedly kissing in the open at a U2 show in Vegas two weeks ago in plain view. Which means that there was more than one witness. And each witness went to a tabloid. And each tabloid was scrambling to source it. And Star Magazine beat everyone else to the punch.Because their fact checkers are faster? Heh. Needless to say, reps for all three have issued denials. Because reps NEVER EVER lie.

The new issue of Star Magazine hits stands tomorrow. etalk has a special preview tonight. So should we believe it?

Well…

There's precedent. I’ve been telling you about Kate Bosworth. My sources told me she allegedly pursued Jim Sturgess relentlessly during 21 without respecting the fact that he had a girlfriend. She did the same recently with Alexander Skarsgard and Evan Rachel Wood. She does not seem to care. If she wants it, she goes for it. Must be a food deficiency. And of course whatever “happy” makes her happy.

As for Chris Martin… if you’ve been reading this site long enough, you already know about those old rumours. London was buzzing about something with a civilian nearly two years ago and more recently, Chris and Gwyneth hit a rough patch like this before that resulted in a positive resolution. But those were kept undercover. They were not blown out publicly with G plastered all over the papers, embarrassingly portrayed as the jilted, homely wife betrayed for a younger version of herself.

How utterly…common.

And that’s the humiliation, isn’t it? Not only is her husband cheating, but now it’s become supermarket material. Gwyneth’s face alongside Jon & Kate plus 8. In her circle, this s the ultimate insult.

And you hate her so much, you’ll probably say she deserves it. Yeah, Gwyneth deserves a lot of snark, she deserves your derision a lot of the time too. But she doesn’t deserve a prick ass husband and a skank crank hag who always hankers for what doesn’t belong to her.

Instead, this week’s GOOP is about relationships. Her opening paragraph is short and promising. And then it gets all clinical and a little zen lotus tree huggy, posing this question to the experts:

“What does it take to sustain a happy and successful relationship or marriage?”

Gwyneth writes that “a long-term relationship between two people is an ever evolving organism. Some stay the course, some fall, all stumble.”

Rumour has it her stumbles have been recent. But that she’s been able to move past the betrayals in service of keeping the picture pretty. Needless to say, G doesn’t offer any personal insight, nor does she tell us what really happened between Madge and Guy.

Is there a secret to a happy and successful marriage?

According to Jada Pinkett Smith, it’s lots of sex. And sex in a limo on the way to the Oscars. With each other??? There are doubters…

As for Gwyneth and Chris, even though it looked shaky 6 months ago, with tabloids reports calling for a split, right now by all accounts they are more solid than ever. It’s what you can bear. Girls like Gwyneth were born to bear in exchange.

Page Six is suggesting today that Gwyneth Paltrow got a boob job. Something about her flashing a nipple in her movie Two Lovers with Joaquin Phoenix and her breast looking like that of a 15 year old. It’s an assertion based solely on observation, they claim.

Sigh.

They don’t know my G. My G has always had small bubbies. And now that she’s working out like an obsessed fiend trying to block out the misery of a miserable marriage, they’ve just reverted to tiny size. It’s hard to sag when there’s nothing to sag.

More interesting are the reports this week in the NY Daily News that she and Chris Martin are trying desperately to save their relationship by shutting themselves away at home and rekindling the flame. If you’ve been reading my blog long enough you’ll know already about the rumours that have been raging in London for ages – that he was stepping out, allegedly with some lawyer, a civilian, and that theirs has been a fractured (and irreparable?) union since after the birth of Moses.

It would explain a lot. It would explain her pathetic GOOP. The gays are obsessed with it. Deano, my heartbreakingly beautiful, SOOOO beautiful, young gay friend who looks forward to every Thursday, opening up his inbox and seeing her sad attempt at Martha waiting for him to ridicule.

It’s embarrassing this GOOPy endeavour. It’s so not Gwyneth. It’s so obsequious. It’s so common. Frankly it’s so disappointing. My Gwynnie should never have to try so hard. Like she might even want to be your friend. Or worse still… my friend! Ew! It’s breaking my heart every day, to say nothing of aligning herself to that fitness lady with the shady past. Ugh.

I want my Gwyneth back.

He’d strayed before with a civilian but she can handle a civilian. Their most recent rough patch however was a result of his affair with a gorgeous one hit wonder. Professional and personal lines all tangled up, especially since there was already some history between the two, and it was a humiliation that pushed the marriage to the brink.

They took some time away from each other and re-evaluated and while it comes as no shock that she was willing to preserve the white picket fence his decision to end it with his paramour did surprise some who thought he was done with that life.

In the end, there is still a lot of love there. And they are doing what they think is best for the kids too.

All’s well now. For now.

PS. Coldplay isn’t banned. Also not Simple Plan. They are the sweetest. Quick Simple Plan story – one of our friends had the roughest Juno Sunday. Horrible. She loves Simple Plan. So Michelle, Laura, and I, at one of the label parties on Sunday night, we saw the band, and since I had interviewed them on the red carpet, we asked them if they could call her to say hi, cheer her up. No problem. Jeff takes the cell phone into the washroom for, several minutes he’s missing, and by the time we talked to her again, she’s giggling, she’s dying, and she said he kept telling her to “come to the party”. Adorable. I love them.

Coldplay performed at the War Child show last night in London so of course Gwyneth was there to support her husband wearing a killer jacket and of course a super mini to show off those Tracy Anderson legs.

As you can see, GOOP is glowing, happy to have hurdled their recent marital hump.

Per usual, the two were not photographed together. This is Chris at the after party. The band also performed at the Brits last night too. Am told his voice was still weak-ish but overall he sounded better than on Grammy night.

Am more concerned about his green hat. For those new to this site, a green hat for my Chinese is a sure sign of cuckold. This is why we don't wear green hats. And before you ask, they are not the subject of the last riddle.

But still...the hat, the rumours, that rich dude GOOPs was linked with a few weeks ago - I'd get rid of that hat.

Dear Gossips,

How could you?

My Gwyneth is absolutely NOT Cheap & Crafty. Please! Gwynnie is the queen of thank you notes: at the tender age of 3, Apple Martin already has her own monogrammed stationary so no, no, no…my Gwyneth would never stinge out her staff. She would however do the complete and nauseating opposite. Which would be to tip and treat them so well and throw it back into the faces of all her friends who can’t match her generosity. This is how Gwyneth makes people feel small, like don’t you know?

C&C is also not Hilary Swank who has no children and despite coldly selling out her ex-husband is actually known to be quite lovely to the small people, having been one herself not too long ago, though if I have to hear that story about living in her mother’s car one more time…
